Weddings & B'nai Mitzvah

A chuppah under the palms, a Torah carried across the grass, and a rabbi who will actually know your family.

A Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a significant milestone for both your child and family. The success of making it a sacred event is in the details, whether you want a small affair, an extravagant banquet or a trip to Israel. We are here to work directly with your family. Let our team utilize our experience, knowledge and expertise to help your family craft your celebration. Let us bring your vision to life and create a memorable and sacred family event.

Individualized Bar Mitzvah & Bat Mitzvah tutoring

Preparation is one-to-one and paced to the child. The goal is a young person who understands what they are reading, not one who has memorised it.

Jewish Weddings

Rabbi Baruch has been officiating weddings in South Florida for over twenty-five years. Ceremonies at Liumi are built around your family rather than a template: how much Hebrew, how much explanation, how much ritual is entirely yours to decide. Many couples hold the ceremony outdoors here and stay for the party on the same grass; others marry elsewhere and come to us only for the preparation and the officiating.

A film from Spencer Sokoloff's bar mitzvah celebration.

Our B'nai Mitzvah program is a holistic approach, framed by Torah (study), avodah (prayer), and gemilut chassidim (acts of loving-kindness). It symbolizes the affirmation of your family's commitment to Jewish community and education. It is an exhilarating moment in a journey of learning, spiritual growth, and commitment to Mitzvoth, the Jewish people and the Land of Israel.

Our goal is that children will continue to build on their foundation of Jewish education, participate in meaningful ritual and prayer experiences, and discover that they have the ability and responsibility to make an impact on our world.

Our Liumi team is eager to work together with your family to build the foundations for this wonderful lifecycle experience.
